When moving to Maine my goal was to get more involved in the community! So when I heard my neighbors were opening a new wedding and event venue I knew they would need photos! So the idea of a styled shoot was bound to become a reality after a few conversations! Abigail, who is the event coordinator at the new venue - The Gathering at Molly Trolley Depot in Ogunquit, Maine was on a mission to get this in the works. This venue has some really cool features like a metal ceiling with a brick back wall, a cool caboose that DJs can set up in, epic views of the famous Ogunquit River marsh, oh and they are a trolley company so of course we had a trolley there as a photo prop!
One by one we put together an amazing group of vendors to make our boho meets industrial meets beach vision come true. The weather was perfect, which at the end of February you never know what mother nature will throw at you! Paula from Twig & Fern collaborated with Lisa from Coastal Blooms and did some seriously amazing and unique work. We met them at Paulas son's wedding last September and I fell in love with her and her work instantly! We were so lucky to have her and she made some beautiful bouquets, name card display, and table scapes that blew us all away. One was floating from the ceiling! I mean... are you kidding me!?!?! Shawna and Kendra from Naviina salon made the ladies glow with beauty and confidence. Lisa made a bomb a$$ multi tier wedding cake that matched the theme perfectly. Leslie and Danielle from Boutique Leslie brought us a Darryl Jagga gown that is sold exclusive to their shop. This dress really stole the show with the mesh top and the sparkle train. This was a dream wedding dress for sure! We were short on what to dress Dom in but Joanie from my Women's business league the Portsmouth chapter pulled through with his black suit! Our caterer Dan from Coast to Coast Caterers made some mouth watering food! The money bags and scallops were amazing! we got some exceptional rentals from Kara Patten at Marshall's tents and events - check out the glasses! I need them in my kitchen ASAP! I recently partnered with Basic Invite and got some seriously gorgeous invites to go along with our theme. I just partnered with this company and got a discount code for my clients. We can't forget about our models! A big shout out to Samantha and Dom - AKA Domatha! They eloped back in 2015 on a sailboat called The Silver Lining in Ogunquit, Maine and the captain married them. How cute is that!?!?! Since they eloped Samantha didn't get the big wedding she might have dreamed of so I knew this would be prefect for them! Not only were they amazing models but they will be able to use the photos too! Samantha has an amazing blog about being a homemaker and Dom is a local real estate agent ready to help you get your dream home in the coastal area of Maine. We had a few of the owners kids involved and Elizabeth really shined as a bridesmaid in her flashy red dress. Grady and Reagen were Abigail's niece and nephew and they showed up ready to be involved. They were so adorable and made the perfect additions to the wedding party!!! We even got Clementine involved at the end. Neal brought her down in a pink star dress for a couple shots with the couple! Last but not least is a photo of Abigail and Me (Rachael)! We were both wearing animal prints (not planned) So, of course we had to capture it!
Overall it was a really amazing styled shoot and I loved working with all these vendors. The Gathering at The Molly Trolley Depot is cool spot and is open for events, weddings, birthday parties, showers and so much more. If you are looking for a place with hotels near by, parking, and views contact Abigail to book your next event or upcoming wedding.
Thank you to all that were involved!!! Let's do it again soon!
